Hi, I am Holly Ralston Oyler, from Louisville, KY. I have been on the BFC since April 2009 and have loved (well most of the time) every second of the experience. I have loss 45 pounds and 15 inches, so I feel like a completely new person. The best part for me has been how this program has almost totally gotten rid of the pain I experienced from lupus and FM. So if I never lose another ounce, I will be forever grateful to Jorge for introducing me to living as sugar-free as possible. Who knew it could be so simple. After 25 years of living on pain medications, steroids and other medication I’m pretty impressed with my results.
So are you asking “why another BFC blog”? My greatest fear is not having the BFC community as part of my life now that we have graduated. I feel we have so much more to learn and share from and with each other. I know there are other wonderful blogs out there and they are included in the blog roll for this one.
I am hoping that this blog can be an extension of the current one on Jorge’s site, one where we can just chat back and forth, try to answer each others questions and form life long friendships.
So you need to let me know where to go from here. I am open to any and all suggestions. Even if one happens to be, sorry Holly, but we don’t need another blog.

Just getting started and am so excited about the health prospects of this venture! I have already seen so many things that look helpful. I can hardly wait to try some of the products and recipes. Like so many, I have tried dieting sooooo many times and am really ready to make a life change at age 61 (typing that number feels so strange)! I am encouraged by what I have read and am so happy to know there is a place to go for answers and new ideas. Thanks for taking the time to do this!
